3. Creating Grafana IoT Tags (3D Workspace) is available as part of the Beamo Plan(s) Enterprise.

Introduction

You can use IoT tags to visualize IoT data in 3D workspace. You can create IoT tags individually or in bulk.

Note: To use this function, you need to configure the Grafana Configuration & Connecting Grafana to the Site by your admin.  For detail see here.

Note: 1, 2. Data added by the Super Admin and Site Manager within the 3D Workspace is shared/visible to all teams unless a particular team is specified. 

3, 4, 5, 6. Permissions are limited within the scope of their team. 

Adding a IoT Tags

  1. Activate the IoT Tag feature by clicking IoT icon on the side bar.
  2. Click [+Add] and select [Single] to create a single tag and [Bulk] to create the multiple IoT tags at once.
  3. Drag the Tag icon itself in the 3D Workspace to edit the height or change the position of the by moving the white circle under the tag icon. 
  4. Enter Tag Title (required).
  5. Add the Tag information.
  6. Upload media  (image, video, or PDF file). 
  7. Click [Add IoT Sensor] and select the sensor from the Grafana dashboard list.
  8. Enter the width and height of the preview window if needed.
  9. Enable [Show this content in 3D Workspace] to display the content of HTML in the 3D viewer.
  10. Enable [Announce] to display the tag note in the 3D viewer.
  11. Add attachments.
  12. Click [Save].

Note:

  • There is no limit on the number of Tags that can be added to the survey. You can attach the file types below:
    • Image: JPG, PNG, GIF, TIF
    • Media: MOV, MP4, AVI, WMV, FLV, 

    • Document: PDF, DOC(X), PPT(X), XLS(X), TXT, RTF

    • Zip file: ZIP

  • The tags displayed in the tag list are ordered by number, alphabet (in ascending order).

Caution: Files added to one Tag may not exceed a total of 100 MB, and each Tag may only have a maximum of 5 file attachments. 

Editing and deleting a IoT Tags

  1. Click the kebab menu button to select the [Edit] in the kebab menu to edit the tag. 
  2. If you want to delete the Tag, click [Delete].
  3. Click [Save] to save changes.

Managing Folders

  1. Creating Folders
    • Click the [+ Add] button and select [Folder].
    • Specify a folder name.
    • Drag and drop tags into the folder.
  2. Deleting Folders
    • Deleting a folder also removes all tags within it.
    • Deleted items cannot be recovered.
  3. Managing Folders
    • To rename a folder, click the [Kebab Menu] and select [Rename].
    • To remove a tag from a folder, drag it to the [← Back] button.
  4. Folder Hierarchy
    • Folders support up to 2-Depth levels.
    • Subfolders can only be created within 1-Depth folders.

Navigation & Sorting

  1. Navigation
    • Navigate tags through 1-Depth and 2-Depth folders.
    • Clicking a specific folder displays the tags within it.
  2. Sorting Criteria
    • All folders and tags are sorted in ascending order by name.
    • Sorting order: Alphabet → Numbers → Korean characters.

UI/UX Features

  1. Drag and Drop
    • Move folders and tags by dragging and dropping them with the mouse.
  2. Announcement Feature
    • Set specific tags as announcements to highlight them in the 3D workspace.
  3. Tag Information Preview
    • Click a tag to preview its attached files, description, and media.

Important Notes

  • No Recovery: Deleted folders and tags cannot be restored.
  • File Size Limit: Attached files cannot exceed 100MB per file.
  • Maximum File Count: Each tag can have up to 5 files attached.
  • Server Configuration: To display content in the Beamo 3D Viewer, the domain ‘Beamo - 360° photo-based digital twin’ must be added to the server settings.
