Editing Point Groups (3D Editor)

Editing Point Groups (3D Editor) is available as part of the Beamo Plan(s) Essential, Pro, Enterprise.

Introduction

In the 3D Editor, you can group multiple survey points and perform bulk actions such as rotating, adjusting camera height, copying, and deleting.
This helps streamline editing for large-scale surveys and improves workflow efficiency.

Creating and Deleting Point Group

  1. Drag with the mouse to select multiple points.
  2. Right-click and select the New Group.
  3. The new group (e.g., Group 1) will be displayed on top of of the plan.

  4. Edit name to the group by clicking [edit] button.
  5. Delete the group by clicking [ x ] 
  6. Click [Save] on top right of the 3D Editor.

Copy & Pasting the Point Group

  1. Select the point group from the top of the plan.

  2. Right-click on the point group in the plan and select Copy.
  3. Open the 3D Editor of the survey you want to paste your copied points into. 

  4. Right-click on the plan.

  5. Click [Paste] (or cmd+V / ctrl+V).

  6. Click [Save] on top right of the 3D Editor.

Editing the Rotation of the Point Group

  1. Select the point group.
  2. Right-click on the point group in the floorplan and select the Edit Rotation.
  3. Input the degree in number.
  4. Click [Save] on top right of the 3D Editor.

Editing the Camera height of the Point Group

  1. Select the point group.
  2. Right-click on the point group in the floorplan and select the Set Camera height.
  3. Input the camera height of the group.
  4. Click [Save] on top right of the 3D Editor.
