How to manage your storage

Before going on the survey make sure that the smartphone has enough memory.

Please refer to the specifications required for the Beamo App.

Note : Storage Requirements

Please ensure at least 10–20GB of free space before capturing (based on 1,000 points). 64GB iPhone models are not recommended due to potential storage shortages and slower performance.

Here is how you can manage your storage.

1. Managing storage within Beamo App - in 'Back up Data'

1. Open Beamo App and log in.
2. Go to Settings, and tap [Back up Data].
3. Delete survey items that are successfully uploaded.

• You can check whether an upload is successful or not
  • by checking the uploaded survey's 3D Workspace within Beamo App and Beamo Portal.
  • by trying to re-upload each survey in 'Back Up Data'. If the survey is successfully uploaded, Beamo App will show 'Uploaded Survey Exists' message.

2. Managing storage within Beamo App - in 'Preview Survey'

Preview survey data for each survey.

1. Select the site from the home screen. 
2. Select the plan from the plan list.
3. In the Local tab, select the survey from the survey list.
4. Tap [Edit icon] and select the [Preview].
5. Select the image you want to delete.
6. Tap [Trash bin icon] to delete.

3. Managing storage out of Beamo App - in 'Settings'

Manage device storage through iOS settings.

A. Via 'Systems'

1. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
2. Delete unused and/or unnecessary Apps.
3. Go to Safari App. Check Website Data and remove.

B. Via 'Photos'

1. Go through your files and delete or move unnecessary data.
2. Empty Recently Deleted to free up storage space for upcoming surveys.

C. Via 'Files'

1. Go to Locations >  On My iPhone
2. Go through files and delete or move unnecessary data.
3. Empty Recently Deleted to free up storage space for upcoming surveys.
